Woodland Spring Lodge offers full-day on-campus school accredited by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Regular education and special education are provided through our state accreditation. Our academic curriculum is based upon State of Missouri education standards for math, science, social studies, fine arts, physical fitness and communication arts for grade levels K through 12.
The academic success of each student is an integral component of the child’s treatment goals. Upon enrollment, each child is placed in his or her corresponding grade level. Tailored programming is designed to meet the individual academic needs of each student. The school utilizes technology-based learning opportunities including SMART Boards and computer labs to enhance and accelerate learning opportunities.
High school students receive a comprehensive transcript and credit review so that we can best match corresponding academic curricula from the student’s home school district. The Woodland Spring Lodge high school curriculum requires completion of 22 credits to earn a high school diploma. We offer credit recovery through computer-based tutorial curriculums that are nationally recognized and used state-wide.
Students graduating from our high school receive preparation for completing the Missouri Constitution Test and U.S. Constitution requirements for a Missouri high school diploma as well as opportunities to complete community service requirements. Students who qualify may also prepare for and take the General Education Diploma while at our school. We provide and offer ACT preparation for our students applying to universities and colleges. A traditional graduation ceremony is held annually for students earning a high school diploma.
We are committed to working with students so that they can regain their confidence. We achieve successful results through our classroom learning opportunities and positive relationships with teaching staff. |
